Join the DOS, or just silly ipod touch 2.0 upgrade?

No idea what happened exactly, I am still trying to test out various suggested solutions.

It is said the Apple invited DOS attack from its beloved users by opening the ipod touch/iphone 2.0 app store last Friday (7/11). I shouldn’t jump in this too early. Days ago, guys around have already experienced the Firefox 3 download craziness. It’s weird if it’s also the problem this time for Apple. It’s just hard for me to believe that the lesson is so hard to learn.

See this post ” An unknown error occurred (6) ” on Apple forum: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1598985&tstart=30

Apple has documented how to deal with this, but apparently doesn’t work in this case, at least not for me:

Maybe I have to wait… to have the 2.0 version and any free app

some answers

* Who are the morons who respond to junk-mail offers, thereby keeping spammers in business?

–”That would be my sister.”

–”My mother, O.K.? Now you know.”

–”Statistically speaking, half of ALL people are below-average intelligence. That fact can explain MANY things.”

–”Naive people, like recent immigrants; old people whose adult children just set them up with a computer for the first time; and the truly desperate who’ve already tried other methods of penis enlargement.”

* Laptops, cameras and cellphones have improved by a thousand percent in the last ten years. Why not their batteries?

–”Chemistry. Quoting John Hockenberry from a Wired magazine story: ‘Current can be altered by changing a battery’s size, but voltage is determined (and fixed) by the atomic makeup of the materials used. Those attributes, recorded in the good old periodic table of elements, were configured shortly after the big bang and are not subject to clever human modifications.’”

Funny questions:)

The reason I want to update my blog today, is really because of David Pogue’s Post: Pogue’s Imponderables

Here are some questions he listed in his post:

* Who are the morons who respond to junk-mail offers, thereby keeping spammers in business?

* How come there are still no viruses for Mac OS X? If it has 6 percent of the market, shouldn’t it have 6 percent of the viruses?

The reason to apply the company

This was written months ago, somehow I didn’t publish it right away. And here it goes:

因为书店最前台上的书籍全写着the New York Times Best Seller。

Thank you for my wife Jie not being here, so I can save the time acknowledging her to complete the presentation.
