In less than 3 days, I roughly sketched a 4-page paper. It was in a hurry, but after the last reading last night, somehow, I felt it was not that bad (maybe reading it too many times just get myself used to the awful stuff, really awful? oh, no:) ). Anyway, I mailed the draft to boss with full expectation.

Then boss came to me three times today: first time, “have you had a printed version?”; second time, “I printed out your pdf file but with illegible fonts”; finally, he came to me blahblah..

You should know what he said. There must be a word “but” and it appeared in the fisrt sentence, which means I’ve just got a half-sentence consoling praise :*( — ” partly the english, partly the style (forgot the exact word my boss used, something similar)…” “You should have a section like starting with “what you’ve got”, then “how compared to others”, and last “why is that”"…”tried to lead the reader finally realize what your point is and be convinced”

I didn’t want to say too much about “what the result is”. Because first, the results can be tabulated or plotted. Second, the description of the results will drain my limited vocabulary. I have explanations but may not be expressed as strongly as my boss expected, it’s not my style to restate something again and again and I am just lazy to analyze all the reasonings step by step, if possible, I will steal 2 or 3 steps. Again, partly the style, partly the english (not feeling well:( )

Anyway, boss will help me at late stage, but I still need to put more work on it. Let’s see, what I can get next time…
